Escape the Knox is located on the second floor of the Knox Hotel, 956 N Main Street in Princeton, Illinois. Reservations are required.
Home Alone Escape Room running November through January!
Starting in early November, our Home Alone-themed Escape Room will run through the end of January. If you have a group of at least 7, you can request a private escape room using the form below. We will soon be adding other dates that smaller groups can sign up for.

Assemble a Team
Our Escape Room is intended for groups of 4 to 12 people, ages 10 and up. Get your friends and family together, and sign up using the link below!
Don’t have a team of 12? You may get grouped with others. If you have at least 7 in your group and would like to schedule a private game, please submit a request.

Arrive and Prepare
When you arrive at your scheduled reservation, we will explain the rules and set the stage. All you have to do is immerse yourself in the scenario and prepare to think outside the box.
Payment is due at arrival. The cost is $15 per person.

Attempt to Escape!
Once you step into the room, you have 45 minutes to find clues, decipher what they mean, uncover the key, and escape!
Phones are not allowed to help in solving clues. Note pads and pens are provided.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the age limit?
Participants must be at least 10 years old. Younger children are not allowed.
Our Escape Room clues are likely too advanced for young children, and the room is filled with fragile and antique items.
Can minors participate alone?
No, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by at least one adult.
Valid ID may be requested as proof of age.
Is it handicapped accessible?
No, the Escape Room is located on the second floor, and stairs are required at this time.
During the experience, participants will not have to climb, crawl, etc.
How much does it cost?
The Escape Room is $15 per person.
Please bring payment upon arrival. A service fee will be added for any card payments.
Will we be grouped with others?
Possibly. If your team is smaller than 12, then others can book the same game and join you.
You can also request a private game if your group is big enough.
How long is the game?
Your group will have up to 45 minutes to escape. Including time spent reviewing rules and the scenario, and signing waivers, participants should expect to spend around an hour.
What if I have to use the restroom?
There is not a bathroom available in the Escape Room, and we cannot stop the game once it begins. We recommend you use the restroom before or when you arrive.
Do I have to sign a waiver?
Yes, we require all participants to sign a waiver acknowledging personal responsibility for any damage or injury. We will review this when you arrive.
What if we break something?
Participants are responsible for any damage done to items, furniture, or any part of the Escape Room. If you break something, you will be charged a reasonable fee for fixing or replacing the item.
What if we don’t escape?
Our game is challenging, so not everyone will escape in time. Although we will let you out, we will not reveal what you missed. You are more than welcome to reschedule and try again in the future!
Will the game change?
Yes, periodically we will review the game by altering the scenario, clues, and props. If you’ve already played our Escape Room, call to see when a new version will go live!
